Dear fellow travellers,
This blog was created because of a discussion we had with a friend not so long ago:
Friend: “You have to write about your trips and share it with more people!”.
Us: “Nobody will read a blog like this because everyone likes travelling and there are a lot of people writing about it.”
Friend: “Yes, it is true, a lot of people like travelling but yours is a passion and you make us dream...You have to write about your trips!”
What does travelling mean to us? Well, we really believe that travelling is the only way to understand the world!
We also believe like Gustave Flaubert that “Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” and like Baron de Montesquieu that “We receive three educations, one from our parents, one from our school-masters, and one from the world. The third contradicts all that the first two teach us.”.
Travelling teaches you tolerance and openness to people from other countries, nationalities, religions, races, cultures, languages, beliefs...It also makes you curious, aware of susceptibilities, patient to differences. It brings you bewilderment, excitement and above all - love!
Last but not least, travelling makes you understand that there are no foreigners, strangers or aliens, that we are all the same and wherever our roots are, we are all part of the same world, citizens of Our Small Planet!
